It has been some time since I wanted to register a .my domain on my real name – but I kept on delaying it. Since I have some time here at home, I figured its the best time to work on it. It is GaddafiRusli.my.

I am not treating this as a portfolio, because I don’t think I am qualify to have a portfolio, yet. That is why I never really compile my previous works and show it off – just because I am still not impress with my own works. So, I’ll only treat this page as a landing page for me, with only a small sample of my previous works. It is my name, and no name is better than your real name, isn’t it?

On a technical note, I’m using HTML5 for this site. It is my first attempt, tho. So, semantically, I’m not sure whether it is correct or not. For example, can a <section> be inside another <section>? Another thing is, I tried to use @font-face, but the smoothness of the rendered font is kinda bad on Windows machine. So I decided to use Cufon, which is great, but lacking on selectable text feature. I’ll keep improving things from time to time.

And oh, if you think that illustration looks nothing like me (other than being faceless), I have no objection. It is a manual trace of my real photograph, but I make it to look skinnier, because, well, I am skinny after all. heh. Rough trace using Fireworks, same method with the cute girl illustration.
