We went for a short trip to Bukit Merah Laketown resort last Saturday. Only 7 of us could make it, because there were some last minute cancellations due to PETRONAS interviews and what not. I remembered the last time I played inside this water theme park was back in 2001, on the exact date the 9/11 attack took place. It was long time ago, with my family, when I was a kid, and I didn’t do much. So this time around, with friends, I played everything – all out. The weather is really good that day. It was a great time spent with friends for, probably, the last time to some of us. Too bad there are no photos of us playing inside the theme park.

Honestly, the visit to the Orang Utan Island was a bit disappointing as there are nothing much to see. We were expecting more. But, its okay, our guide is pretty cute We (as in me and Syah) even stalked her on Facebook. haha. Thanks Mark Zuckerberg!

We also visited the Eco Park – lots of animal in there. Managed to catch a short Animal Show as well. Bunch of guys, visiting a zoo – yes, sounds a bit gay actually. But who cares. haha.

Overall, it was pretty fun. A short 2 days trip. We spent the night playing cards. Haha.

After this, everybody will part ways – working in different places. It is going to be difficult to get together again. Lets wish the best for everyone.

Successfully assembled, constructed, programmed, tested and demoed a line following robot (or rather… car mouse thingy?) for Microcontroller class project. And being the first group to demo, without any issues, consistently. More coverages on Enol’s blog [1] [2] [3]. Video coming soon! (probably).

I don’t like to elaborate more on my FYP, though. Sorry. But it has something to do with Twitter. “The Twitter guy!”, said one of the visitor to my booth. Everything went well during the exhibition. Special thanks to Najwa for helping me out throughout the whole day. The demo went smoothly, too. I just love when I hear “Woahh” from the visitors every time I show them the demo of the project. Especially those who are familiar with Twitter. It always makes me laugh. Haha. It was super tiring though.

Anyhow, EDX is over, and my project received Silver award for EE category. Good enough for me. 

Now, I have to get back to all those class projects and assignments.

Tomorrow, we will be celebrating Eid. So, I would like to take this opportunity (to create the graphic above) and to wish Happy Eid to everyone! Apologize for all the wrong doings I’ve done and all the bad words I’ve used either in this blog, on Twitter or/and in real life. Have fun!

Nak duit raya!

It is the fourth week since the new semester began. It is my final semester in UTP. Final year final semester student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Wow. By right, by the end of this year, I should be able to get out there and work as a real engineer in a real company. That thought kinda scare me a bit. To take that road or not – that’s another concern. In fact, I’ve been having a serious mental complication just to think about that. Seriously guys, it is not an easy decision to make.

Having no option at all is pretty bad, but having many options are not that good either. And when it comes to future matter, where you might want to consider other “things” other than just your self – that’s tougher. I’ll keep the details to myself for now.

Ah. Just leave it for later thought. I’ve been focusing on the Final Year Project (FYP) for this semester. Lots of things to be explored. But it is all good. Self-exploration is what I do best. I constantly challenging myself to learn something new through self-exploration. There is no better way than trying to do things on our own – and learn from the mistakes and problems we encountered along the way. Oh by the way, I’m not going to explain the details of my FYP, until everything is completed. Plus, it is not super awesome or anything. It might bores you to death.

Anyhow, everything is pretty normal. Well, at least normal for my liking – which involves working and sitting in front of this computer almost all the time. I haven’t been going out that much – Najwa is pretty upset about that, definitely. Haha
